The Santa Rosa National Park now protects the remnants of tropical dry forest, which house different species of flora and fauna, such as coyotes, peccaries, coatimundis, tapirs, jaguarundy, margay, jaguars, ocelots, armadillos and many varieties of marine and terrestrial turtles.
