Museum of Costa Rican Art
Costa Rican Art Museum (Paseo Colón, 42nd Street, La Sabana Metropolitan Park, San Jose): this museum was inaugurated in 1978 and is located in the Metropolitan La Sabana Park, in the building of the old control tower of the old San Antonio Airport. The museum also presents temporary exhibitions, a sculpture garden designed by the artist Jorge Jiménez de Heredia and the beautiful Golden Hall with an impressive mural that represents the history of Costa Rica from pre-Columbian times until 1940; Sculpted in 1940 by Luis Féron Parizot (1901-1998), a French sculptor and goldsmith.
