Costa Rica Children’s Museum
Costa Rica Children’s Museum (Costa Rica Science and Culture Center, 4th street, Ninth avenue, the Old Penitentiary Building) . Popularly known as the Children’s Museum, this beautiful structure, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, was inaugurated in 1994. It is the first interactive museum in Central America with themes related to sciences, history, technology, and arts You can also find the National Art Gallery, the Youth Knowledge Complex and the National Auditorium. Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Tuesday – Friday/school year), 9:30 am – 5:00 pm (weekends). Vacation months: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm (weekdays), 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (weekends). Admission: ¢2,500 (individuals over 15 years of age), ¢2,000 (children´s).
