San Jose has a variety of bus routes that cover different parts of the city. For most city buses, fares range from ¢ 140 to ¢ 360 ($ 0.35 to $ 0.70), which are paid in cash. To calculate how much it costs to travel, check the front windshield of the bus, which should be shown prominently. Keep in mind that although there are bus stops previously marked, drivers will pick up any passenger who calls.

Buses to the following suburbs and outlying cities start from the bus stops in the indicated blocks. Some places have more than one stop, only the main ones are listed here. If you need buses to other suburbs, ask at the tourist office.
